With thousands of laptop stands, desks, mobile tables, and what have yous’ in the market, it’s pretty impossible to find something new and innovative. You can literally go on amazon and find all sorts of styles that can fit your needs. Many of those same adjustable laptop stands can be used interchangeably to have that nice breakfast in bed.

But that’s the thing. These tables stand, or pads… are just that. Either a table, or a stand, or a flat surface. Not both, not all three, just one.

So creating the ideal mobile desk that can be used on your bed, on your couch, in your car, on a hike, or simply in a coffee shop is quite the innovation within this niche. With 6 standard positions, you can adjust the height in desk position, the angle in stand position, or have it flat in its pad position. Just having that versatility at your disposal is probably the main selling point here.

As iSwift Pi is 0.2-inches thick and 40 ounces in weight, it’s thin enough to stow away in your bag and so light that you’ll most likely forget that it’s there (potential problem? Could be for the forgetful ones). 

It’s made from a “premium PU” material, in other words, plastic, which they claim is extremely durable, water-resistant, and easily cleaned. This great and all if you spill your coffee or something, but if it comes to holding up your radiating laptop which can turn up the heat when that CPU gets going, there’s no mention of any heat dissipation qualities. So will it get hot? That’s unknown. 

The great thing here is that it can hold serious weight for just being 40 ounces. Like 44 pounds is more than enough to handle the heaviest of laptops. Just wouldn’t push the limit by putting a perfect 45-pound weight lifting plate on it. That extra pound might be its end. At the end of the day, this product is amazing for those digital nomads who are always working on the go and never have a designated working location. But can you call it innovative? At the end of the day, it’s still an adjustable laptop stand. A quite useful one for sure.

At first glance, you’ll see that it’s not necessarily the cheapest adjustable laptop stand in the market. But if you look a little closer, you’ll find that it does hold a bit of a competitive edge over many other similar products within its category. 

For starters, though iSwift’s price is around market average, its design is far more elaborate and capable than its close competitors. Do you want one of the thinnest adjustable laptop stands in the market? Done. You want it to hold more weight than the average stand? Done. Do you want it to have multiple working standing positions, far more than the competition without compromising its utility? Why not…

Like seriously, this thing is quite impressive when you start looking at the numbers. At first glance, you might just shrug and get on with your day. But when you take a second to consider that a 0.2” thick adjustable laptop stand can hold up to 20 kilos or 44 lbs in weight… that’s just ludicrous. It’s like the equivalent of what ants do in their world. And you can use it in 6 different positions? 

So does it hold up with the competition? You can say, yeah… this thing holds its weight. And then some.

Who are the makers of this great folding, hold your office whenever and wherever then collapsing to the thinness of paper product? That would be the Andobil Team. Heard of them? Quite possibly. 

Andobil is a HUGE (yes, you can say it that way) retail company that sells a whole lot of goods on Amazon. And the good thing about established companies that sell on amazon? They’re usually, yes, reliable.

Don’t take my word for it, but maybe all those reviewers who are throwing those 5 stars comments at their products.

What exactly are those products? Phone mounts for your car or bike, or tripod. So they’re in the business of holding your valuable tech up… And doing it very well. Well, that’s good news. Because they’ve seemed to upgrade from phone mounts to adjustable laptop stands.

If those Amazon reviews say one thing, it’s that these guys are trustworthy and experienced vendors.

They might have great success on Amazon and from direct sales on their website. But does that translate into Kickstarter?

Well, not exactly. People who find success in other markets don’t necessarily guarantee the same in crowdfunding. Why? The community aspect. Crowdfunding is carried by its backers, and having quick, insightful, and transparent communication with your community is pivotal for trust and ultimately the success of a campaign. 

So does the Andobil team hold up within crowdfunding? Short answer, yes. 

Here’s the thing, they don’t have previous experience within the crowdfunding realm. So how is it a yes? From what is seen on their live campaigns, the team is incredibly responsive with backer concerns, not taking any more than a day to answer questions.

So they’re quick Yes. What else… From responses, they take the time to write genuine, caring responses. So they care? Yes. Anything else? When backers suggest are changes or variations to the product, they are very receptive to hear and consider the feedback. So aside from being quick and caring, they are also invested in their community to get them the best product. 

That’s pretty freaking amazing.

Long story short, they don’t have previous experience in crowdfunding, which renders their ability to fulfill their commitments unknown since there isn’t a track record to go off of in crowdfunding. But from what is seen, could I guess that they will at least be professional with whatever comes along and deliver you a solid adjustable laptop stand in a timely manner? I can put a bit of money on that and believe so.

So to wrap this burrito up and send it through, is iSwift Pi a good product? Yes. Would I personally consider buying it now that half of my life is remote? Yes. Is it the next big thing that will change all of our lives and forge a new future for generations to come? No.

But it’s a damn good adjustable laptop stand. And not only that, but it’s being created by a solid company that seems to have consistently high customer satisfaction. If I wasn’t in the market for a mobile office, this might just tickle my interest.
