Sleepless nights have been haunting humanity for all of eternity. Why just last night I was up trying to figure out what I should have said to my high school crush a whole decade ago. Experts recommend that instead of spending hours awake reimagining what could have been, it’s leagues better to actually sleep. Crazy right?
If you think you tried everything to help you fall asleep, from medication to smashing your phone with a hammer, it may be time to try lulling yourself to sleep with sound.
In this review we will be going over Mobi Fren’s HealingFit, a bluetooth headset that combines TES technology with sound therapy to help you sleep, heal, and study. Is this a new miracle cure-all, a complete sham, or just another interesting crowdfunding project?
The Product
Innovation
Is this a truly new product that you can’t find on the market? Or this is a product that defines an entirely new product category. In some cases, combining several features into one or introducing a new feature to an old product is also considered an innovation.
Transcranial electrical stimulation (TES) is simply pulsating electricity through nodes placed on your head. It isn’t anything to actually give you a jolt but a super low voltage current that stimulates your brain. Combined with acoustic wave energy, the HealingFit is a combination of two technologies to solve one of humanity’s biggest issues, giving the brain a much-needed rest.
While there are TES devices that also utilize different lights, none really have this TES and bone conduction sound therapy combo.
This is quite surprising, as something that goes on the sides of your head would also logically go near your ears. Hard to believe someone hasn’t thought of this before. But for actually developing this product, HealingBit scores big points.
There are many products that try to help you chill out, focus, and go to sleep, but none with both TES and sound therapy.
Competitiveness
How much better is it than the competition? Is it faster? Bigger? Cooler? More affordable? There needs to be a solid reason why you should back this project over any other.

The Healing Fit really is one of a kind when it comes to gadgets that help you relax and go to sleep. The best the competition has to offer is Bose’s ergonomic design that lets you sleep with your headphones on that play soothing catered music to help you relax and go to sleep. With how ergonomic wireless earbuds are now, it is pretty easy to find a relaxing sound playlist and try to sleep to it. One of the downsides of this is that your ears are covered and you can not hear what is around you, a major safety concern.
The Muse 2 is a great device to get real-time info on your biometric information like how your heart, mind, and breath are doing, but it only does that, giving you information. This is great if you want to track your health but does little to actually deliver results.
There are great bone conduction headphones out there, Mobi Fren makes a few pairs, but none with TEP tech. The HealingFit is in a class of its own and offers a solution not found anywhere else in the market.
The Team
Reliability
How capable is the team? Have they developed something like this before? Do they have crowdfunding experience? Manufacturing experience? A lot of campaigns fail to deliver their product because they don’t know what they’re doing.
This is the second project Mobi Fren has launched but their first campaign for a similar product was not successfully funded. They do have an e-commerce shop with regular wireless headphones but what you really want to know is does this thing work?
There are a few sections on the campaign page that link to studies and certificates that the HealingFit is safe and actually does support relaxation. TES and relaxing sounds are nothing new and have been used as cures in sleep studies for decades. While some of the science does sound like something out of a science fiction movie, it has been long tested and been a consumer product for years.
There are videos of people trying it out and getting their biometrics scanned showing that they are actually less stressed and feel better.
The first batch is ready to be shipped out too so you should be expecting your HealingFit when you back, according to their update.
Attitude
How transparent are the campaigners? Do they give their backers valuable updates on their progress? Do they engage with their backers? Crowdfunding is all about community, sharing information, and building meaningful relationships with the people who fund your project.
There are some comments about the tech being used which are thoroughly answered with cited studies and links. Seeing as this is a company and not an up-and-coming first-time creator, it is understandable that there is no “creator” to introduce the product.
Mobi Fren has their own social media pages and websites, mostly in Korean, with regular activity. There is still some time for the campaign to advance and give the team a chance to interact more with the backers and answer more questions.
Conclusion
If you are ready to embrace tested technology that is entering the market in refined consumer products HealingFit is at the perfect stage. It has all the proper paperwork, a sleek look, and just enough testing to try out.
After all, some of the best advice on how to sleep better – exercise, avoiding screens, and yoga, aren’t always enough or feasible to do everyday. Sometimes beaming relaxation right to your head is the way to go.
